About our organization
Reedy Fork Center for Community Development exist for the purposes of engaging, equipping, and empowering persons residing:
- Northbound: To Highway 25-Business and South Pleasantburg Road
- Southbound: To Highway 418
- East Bound: To Interstate 385 & West Georgia Road
- West Bound: To Highway 25 and Augusta Road
Our goal is to develop and implement a range of initiatives to meet the needs of persons of varying ages within the target area by identifying special needs of individuals that may be vulnerable to an accumulation of deficits if positive interventions are not available.
Education Initiatives
The focus of this initiative is to assist persons in closing educational deficiencies through the following programs:
- Virtual Day School
- Afterschool Initiative
- Summer Enrichment
- College Preparedness
- Computer Literacy
Health & Wellness Initiatives
The focus of this initiative is to provide health and wellness initiatives that will assist in alleviating structural disparities that exist in black, brown, and poor communities, while improving personal and communal deficiencies in the targeted area.
Housing Initiatives
The focus of this initiative is to provide affordable housing for seniors, and families living within the targeted community. Homeownership and closing the wealth gap will be a strong component of this program.
Social Initiatives
The focus of this initiative is to identify and address the various social and structure ills that are destructive to vulnerabilities of black, brown and poor communities in the targeted area.
Economic Initiatives
This initiative will focus on preparing and equipping persons to function in a global job market as well as job development and closing the wealth gap in black, brown and poor communities.
