After-School Volunteer Opportunity
The After-School (Volunteer) supports small-group and one-on-one tutoring for students in grades K5 - 8th during after-school hours. Volunteers reinforce classroom learning, encourage good study habits, and help students build confidence in core subjects (reading, writing, math, and/or homework support) in a safe, welcoming environment.

This is an unpaid/volunteer position.
Hours are 3 pm - 5 pm, 1-4 days a week

Key Responsibilities
· Provide 1:1 and small group tutoring in reading/writing/math/homework help/test prep.
· Model positive behavior, growth mindset, and effective study skills; celebrate effort and progress.
· Collaborate with the center leadership and staff to align goals and share student updates.
· Support snack distribution, student transitions, and dismissal procedures as needed.

Experience & Qualifications
· Christian-believer with genuine interest in working with children and supporting academic growth.
· Prior grades K5-8th tutoring/teaching experience is a plus but not required.
· Age: 18+, preferred for independent volunteer roles.
· Bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish/English) are a plus.

Physical Requirements

· Be without health conditions or medication that impair behavior, vision, and/or decision-making.
· Demonstrate mobile agility – sit, stand, walk, balance, reach, pull, as needed.
